Conch Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location was great, but we were not prepared about the parking situation. It was clean and the outside patio was a delight. We really enjoyed using the Jacuzzi after a long walks during the day.
The front porch was nice in the mornings having a cup of coffee when the weather permitted
A few things I would recommend to improve would be, the kitchen was dark so if you could put more wattage in the lightbulbs in the ceiling, that would be great. Also, the fan nor the light over the stove was working so that needs fixed.
You could use some stem wine glasses. The ones you have now are big for a woman to use. You could also use three different sizes of mixing bowls. You have one great big huge glass bowl that takes up a lot of space.
A nice extra blanket would help. My husband and I were both sick and could not be in the bedroom at the same time for a couple of days, So a nice blanket would’ve been a great asset.

Took my wife to Key West for her 60th birthday. She fell in love with Key West. This was anawesome place to stay. Within walking distance of almost everything. Secluded back patio. The only improvement I would suggest is to get permit parking in front of the house. We were able to (without trouble) park a block or two away for an easy walk to the house. Great place. We'd definitely recommend it!

House is perfect for a couple close to everything! Jacuzzi is nice after a long day of walking to just relax in the privacy of your own backyard. Bed was comfy. Only downfall is the parking if you have a car, however we were able to park for free on the street within a few blocks of the house so not a big deal for us. Management was great they checked in on us day of arrival and were quick to answer any questions!

Everything about the property was great. From inside to out anyone can tell this property is very well maintained. Just find a paid lot to park your car and take in key West. Close walk to everything but far enough away to feel in your own scene. Would definitely stay again.

This was a clean well appointed house. The private patio, hot tub and outdoor (indoor also) shower was great. You do not need a car if you planning on seeing the sites downtown. It was only a $20 Uber fee to get to the marinas for fishing trips. I would highly recommend it. The folks at Preferred Properties we excellent.

So perfect! Just as described and very clean. The location is super convenient. The private backyard is beautiful and well landscaped. Our favorite part was the hot tub and outdoor shower. Really felt like paradise!

Great little space in the middle of Key West! Well appointed kitchen and the backyard was a tropical get-a-way each day to recover from the beach. This property made our first visit to Key West a success and we will definitely be back.

This was our second time at this property in the past few years, and the owners have been right on top of taking care of the property. When something wears out, they replace it to keep the property attractive.

First off, Angie with Preferred Properties is absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to accommodate my husband and I when we found ourself in need of last minute accommodations. I really can’t say enough about how fantastic she was! Outside of that, the home had absolutely everything we needed and was in the perfect location to walk to everything. It has an amazing intimate fenced in back yard with a great jacuzzi. If you are thinking of booking, think no more, BOOK IT!

Everything about our stay was wonderful! We enjoyed the lovely cottage and especially the hot tub and outdoor shower - amazing! The Stressless lounger was a great spot to enjoy one of the books from the cottage library. Terrific location. This was our first experience with Preferred Properties, and they are awesome!!

Beautiful place to stay and close to everything in key west

Cottage is small good for 1-2 people. Comfortable, clean, under 3 blocks to downtown Duval St. Can keep your vehicle parked for the whole stay. We walked or biked to all the places we went, Mallory Square, Hemingway House, KW Cemetery, trolley ride, many restaurants and bars to choose from. We loved the Conch Republic Restaurant on the water in Mallory Sq,food and service were excellent. Wasn’t busy for a Friday lunch. Best part of the house was the very private backyard and outdoor shower. Found a parking sport within a block. We’re there first week in Dec. only four stars for location only because it is a flight path for the airport but it didn’t bother us. On a street great for people watching while sitting on the front porch swing.

This little cottage was perfect for my husband and I during our anniversary trip to Key West! It’s cute, with everything you could need. It’s so close to busy Duvall Street but still quiet with lots of privacy for relaxation. Preferred Property was wonderful and made themselves available for any questions or needs, they even surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a note wishing us a Happy Anniversary! Absolutely recommend! You won’t be disappointed!

We have stayed 2 times at the Conch Cottage. The place is great, the location is excellent, the management company is wonderful! Special shout out to Angela, so helpful. Only downside is no ice maker. 100+ degrees and we had to use plastic ice trays to make ice. Please get an icemaker!

I've visited Key West many times, and this visit was one of the best. If this cottage had off-street parking, it would be the best rental ever! For a couple, it's perfect. The location couldn't be better. We'd definitely stay here again. One small observation, though: The mattress might be nearing the end of its life or need an upgrade. Overall, fantastic.

This house was so lovely and very well stocked with everything we needed. My husband and I spent a few days here for our 25th anniversary and loved it. The outdoor space is wonderful and very private. The location was also nice for us. We walked everywhere we wanted to go, but the home is far enough away from the hustle of the night life, that it was very peaceful. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here and it was amazing! We were able to get into the house no problem. It was clean, and fully stocked with linens, kitchen gadgets & cookware. Right in the center of KeyWest. Backyard oasis was a major bonus! Will def be back! Management went above & beyond. LOVED OUR STAY

We come to KW often and stay somewhere in Old Town. We have stayed in a few other properties in this general neighborhood but this was the best choice by far. As we always walk or bike around the island, the central location on Simonton puts you just minutes from anything you set out to do whether it’s great dining options (so many choices, had to go back to 915 around the corner on Duval), groceries (Fausto’s 3 blocks) or local watering hole for a cold beverage. (Had never tried Bobby’s Monkey Bar up the street but had a blast in there on night). The cottage is perfect for a couple looking for a great, comfortable way to enjoy each other. The very private back patio area, hot tub and outdoor shower (we never once used the bathroom shower) is a perfect spot to either start the day with a light breakfast or wind down at night in the spa. Although only a block from Duval, we never heard any of the nighttime noise. Pack light as the washer/dryer will come in handy. It’s KW, all you need for a week is shorts and flip flops. Lastly, the team at Preferred Properties was fantastic. From timely, accurate communication leading up to the trip to storing our carryons upon an early arrival to checking to be sure everything was good during the week, they put bookends to a great (again) visit to our favorite escape place. We will definitely work with them again and hopefully book Conch Cottage on our next KW visit.

We had the best time in Key West...the cottage that we rented was absolutely beautiful...we will diffently stay there glad that we chose this little cottage to spend our honeymoon in...did not disappoint at all... would highly recommend.

This place was perfect for a couple and had everything we needed and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed the back deck with jacuzzi and the outdoor shower was amazing. We loved people watching from the porch swing in the front of the cottage. The kitchen was fully stocked and meal prepping was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Conch Cottage was truly amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better location- right in the mix of everything yet quiet enough to really enjoy! Perfect size and the accommodations all around were fantastic. The service of Preferred Properties was also top notch. We will definitely stay here again.

The Property was Great and we enjoyed the outdoor space. We did however find the parking difficult! Advance notice on the parking would have been helpful. All and all we enjoyed our stay.

We loved staying at the Conch Cottage! It was cozy, comfortable, well stocked and in the perfect location. It was so easy to walk to all the close activities and restaurants. The staff at the management company were also super helpful and held our bags until check-in. We would definitely stay again.

Location is great, one street off of Duval where all the action is. Sarabeh's two blocks down on Simonton has the best breakfast, stumbled on by accident. Didn't spend alot of time in the cottage, but it was perfect for what we wanted, centrally located.

The cottage was in a perfect location, no rental car required! Everything was in walking distance. The cottage was very clean, had all the needs to put luggage down and go.

Perfect location near Duval St but away from the traffic & noise. Quiet neighborhood. Easy walk or bike ride to groceries, restaurants, beach (Fort Zachary Taylor State Park), waterfront. Some free parking in front. Cottage is cute, clean & comfy. Great back yard area very private. Also has front porch. Angela and Phil were very accessible and helpful.

We loved the home, the location, the amenities (including hot tub, outdoor shower, full kitchen, etc.) We did encounter a few hiccups such as issues with the front door lock and the hot water heater but the rental company were very helpful and quick to solve our issues. The location was perfect distance for walking or biking and we were very happy with the overall trip! The backyard is private and a great asset. I would highly recommend renting bikes to explore the island- the classic architecture was incredibly beautiful. I would have appreciated more house notes- we found the front door confusing at first and my husband had to fix the tripped fuse box three times to get the hot water heater working, but we enjoyed the home and found it centrally located, and the perfect space for a couple.

This was perfect for 2 people. Very private back patio. Very clean and comfortable. Great location. Walk to grocery, restaurants, nightlife, and sightseeing. One of the best trips I've had in a long time! Will be back and will use preferred properties. Angela very helpful.

This cottage has all the amenities you need, although everything is small. It is a great location close to Duval and all the action but Simonton is busy and loud. Fortunately the bedroom is on the backside and if you close the doors you can drown out the noise. The back deck is very well done and well maintained but hard to enjoy with the street noise. The management company was super responsive to our needs...A+.

Only thing that this house needed was an icemaker. We love to set on the front porch and have a cocktail, and having to make ice is a pain. This is our only suggestion, otherwise the house is perfect and we will be back. Jose at Preferred Properties was helpful and efficient! Thank you all!

The Conch Cottage is the perfect property in Key West. It is in a great location. It is within biking or walking distance to everything Key West is famous for, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle for some quiet time. We will definately be staying here again.

Everything about this house was great. We loved the backyard, grilling and the hottub. The kitchen had everything that you could need. We hit a cold spell in KW and the heat worked perfectly. We own Seachange Vacation Rentals in Rehoboth Beach DE. We know the vacation rental business and this house was 5 stars for sure. Also a shout out to PPKW for their excellent communication. Only one suggestion, we love ice in our cocktails and this little home in paradise needs an icemaker! We suffered and made our own ice! LOL Heading back to South Beach for the winter, then back to work at the Delaware Beaches!

We spend every Thanksgiving in Key West and the Conch Jose was the best yet! It was the perfect size for the my husband and me. It was very clean. The outdoor shower was so cool, I loved it! The decor is on point with the Key West vibe and everything is updated and brand new. Hopefully we will be back next year!!

We were in Key West celebrating our anniversary and the Conch Cottage was like having our own little home away from home. The central location to restaurants, shops, and the bus was just what we wanted ! We absolutely loved our stay.

Very nice house for two people to stay. Was clean and quiet. The check in process was very simple, they emailed me a code to enter to get in the front door. About three blocks away is a place to rent a golfcart to get around if you want to explore but you really do not need one dice Duval st is two blocks away. The outside looks old but the inside is completely renovated and very nice. Very cold a/c which is a must down in key west.

Attention to detail was impeccable. The home was very clean and the property managers were attentive and professional. A class act!

Very quiet and private back deck - has a front porch also. Clean and very comfortable. Perfect location, quiet neighborhood only one block from Duval St. I was able to park right in front and never moved the car, used bike or walked everywhere. Angela arranged delivery of bike to me. Fort Zachary Taylor has a great beach, plenty of shade trees and picnic tables - easy bike ride approx 1.5 mile.

We loved our stay at conch cottage and plan to return. It's location in Old Town, surrounded by beautiful historical homes was ideal. Central to all we wanted to do on a quaint street. If it was too hot to walk we simply took a Lyft to our destination. The home was clean and well decorated with. Many updates throughout, mainly kitchen and bathroom. Our favorite spot was the back patio with the private outdoor shower. We used it every day, with the lizards watching : ). The rental staff was very helpful! Make sure to read the binder when you first arrive as we missed garbage day. I highly recommend!

Great place to stay. Was clean and ready upon arrival. Perfect place for a couples get away. 1 block off Duval St and within walking distance of everything.

Adorable cottage, very well appointed and comfortable. We wanted for nothing! The unit was very clean. The out door area was pleasant and very nice for early coffee or happy hour drinks. the hot tub was clean and well serviced. Of special note is Angela of Preferred Properties who was immensely helpful cordial and so endearing.

Nothing but great things to say about this property. My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was worth every penny! Very clean, great location, one block from Duvall Street and 4 blocks from the beach. From the privacy it offered to being able to walk to all of Key Wests main attractions. I would recommend this property to family and friends.

We truly loved out stay at the Conch Cottage. The place was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was perfect for the two of us. It lacked nothing, its completely stocked. We especially loved the backyard oasis......complete privacy. We loved the outdoor shower so much we never used the indoor one! The hot tub made for some memorable evenings to say the least!!! The cottage was very clean, plenty of glasses & dishes. Location was awesome....one block from Duvall but quite at night. It just lacks a driveway so parking is a challenge. Great restaurants within walking distance (try Sarabeths).

I wanted to provide a review on the Conch Cottage we just stayed at 4/1-4/10.

I'll start by saying we had a completely awesome time again in Key West, and this cottage only helped to make our second visit to the island a great one.

Last year we stayed down by Smathers Beach, and this year decided to stay a little closer to Duval in order to be closer to Duval and other activities. Everything at the cottage is exactly as described. Plenty of room for the 2 of us for a 10 day stay, and honestly I could have stayed a lot longer. The front porch and swing were very nice, the neighbor 2 houses down who is a permanent resident was very nice as well, and the private back yard was simply amazing. Plenty of sunshine if you wanted some quiet time to lay in the sun, and plenty of shade if it got too hot to lay in the direct sunlight. It was very private, and one of my favorite amenities was the outdoor shower. Nothing quiet like it anywhere else I have stayed, and I loved it. As long as the little lizards just sat on the edge and watched me and didn't decide to join me it was great!

I would post pictures, but the pictures they have are exactly what you get when you are there. Angela and Jose where exceptional to work with and answered any and all questions we had prior to arrival, and they ensured our stay at KW was as good as it could be and for that I am very thankful. It is not cheap to vacation in KW, but when you have a place like this and people to work with like them, it makes it all worth it.

We will definitely book again without any hesitation!

And for the person who reviewed that the lighting was poor in the bathroom - they must not have realized the light is on a dimmer next to the switch. When you increase that, you have absolutely plenty of light!

We are so happy we chose to stay at this property. Much better than a hotel or condo. No noise from people running down halls, no slamming of doors like you would get at those places. Loved the private outside space. Outside shower ...Awesome! House has everything you need. Very cute. Location was great, close enough but quieter than being on Duval. We rented bikes, saw a lot more than just walking everywhere. I bought a backpack cooler,(carry on airplane) which was perfect for taking to the beach and fit in bike basket. Front porch was nice, great for people watching. Close to many bars , restaurants,shops and stores if you're just walking. We didn't have problems with air cooling house as others had, but lighting in bathroom could be better. Angela is so helpful, great communication. Thank You! We miss Key West already and would definitely recommend.

The house was very cute and had everything we needed -- even umbrellas for the occasional rain shower. The backyard deck, hot tub and outdoor shower are surrounded by beautiful plants and felt like a private oasis. If we make it back to the Keys, we'd definitely stay here again. The location was perfect; it was close to all the sites for walking yet it was quite at night. We bought a parking pass at the city ramp and then could park the car on the street. However, we never needed to use the car (except to get groceries) the entire week we were there due to the great location.

We enjoyed our stay in this property--it is perfectly sized for 2 people for a week. The backyard is inviting and the bath and kitchen are updated. Be warned though, that this property is on a very busy street and road noise is constant. Otherwise the location is great--central and it is walkable to everything worth walking to in Old Town. Our only issues were 1) the 104 degree hot tub was too hot for us to use (and could not be turned down due to a faulty control), and 2) the house next door was under renovation with lots of sawing and hammering all day (you can't hold the rental agent responsible for that--it's a free country and how would they know when work like this would be done next door?). This plus the road noise made it more reminiscent of New York City than a far flung island at times, but we still had fun.

We really liked this property and would definitely consider renting it again--but I would probably try to find something on a quieter street first.

This adorable little cottage was PERFECT for our stay in Key West. Literally two blocks off of Duval, it could not have been in a better location! And the cottage itself had everything we needed--coffee maker, blender, huge fridge and freezer, and a fenced in backyard with a hot tub! So adorable!

I loved everything about this rental. It was easy to book, and I always received prompt responses to my emails. When we arrived at the house it looked exactly as pictured on the website. It was so cute and perfect in size for the two of us! The kitchen was fully equipped. The living room furniture was very comfortable. I loved the high ceilings in the living room and bedroom. I also loved the walk-in shower in the bathroom. Access to the bathroom from the living room or bedroom was also nice. The best part about this house, though, is the backyard. It is so quiet and private. You feel like youre tucked away from it all. There is nice foliage which gives you privacy from your neighbors. The hot tub was awesome and we enjoyed using it at the end of each long day. The location was also perfect, being only one block from Duval. Tho house is walkable to everything. Loved this place and when we return we will definitely be booking it again!!

The cottage was wonderful, loved the updates and dcor. The back deck was great. The location was perfect, close to Duval, but quite. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Only drawback was parking. But we parked our vehicle in the parking garage for the entire stay and rented a scooter. So it wasn't to bad.
